Spiced Peanut Butter Nice Cream

I am a banana-a-day kind of girl.  I eat one almost every morning, usually smooshed on a whole wheat waffle with a shmear of crunchy, all-natural PB.  Mmmm yes, girlfriend loves her some bananas.  Usually I will eat the whole bunch up before they go bad, but in the case that they do turn brown and nasty (like this weekend I found myself with like seven thousand…), I freeze them up for a little “nice” cream. (Get it? Ice cream, but not!)

Pro Tip #1:  Before freezing your bananas, peel and slice them into small pieces.  Trust me.  Whether you decided to use them in a smoothie or to make ice cream, it will make your life so much easier.

Spiced Peanut Butter Banana Ice Cream



Prep Time: 5 minutes
Yield: 1 – 2 servings {depending if you like to share…}


  • 2 frozen bananas

  • 3 Tbs peanut butter

  • 1 1/2 Tbs honey

  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon

  • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg


  1. Place frozen, sliced bananas into food processor.  Pulse and blend until consistency of soft serve ice cream.

  2. Add remaining ingredients and blend until mixed.

  3. Top with additional cinnamon and nutmeg as desired, and enjoy!
